Beyond Pixels

In today's hyper-digital age, the sheer volume of online content can often feel suffocating, leaving us longing for a respite from the constant scroll and swipe. As a creator myself, I understand the necessity of navigating the digital landscape, relying on social media platforms to connect with collectors and showcase my work. Yet, amidst the digital chaos, there exists a sanctuary – the darkroom.

Retreating to the darkroom provides a welcome escape from the digital deluge, offering solace in the tangible world of physics and chemistry. Here, the prints I produce are not just pixels on a screen but manifestations of light and chemical reactions, crafted with my own hands. There's a certain magic in witnessing the image emerge from the depths of the developer solution, each detail rendered at a molecular level.

What draws me most to this medium is its reliance on the physicality of the process. Unlike digital images, there's no resolution to speak of – only the pure artistry of optical enlargement. In this space, landscapes, portraits, and a deep dive into the subconscious come into view with unparalleled clarity, drawing me into a world where time slows and distractions fade.

Hanging these prints in my home serves as a gentle reminder to pause, to be present, and to appreciate the beauty of the analogue in an increasingly fast-paced world.
